The Promise of Victory

The Promise of Victory

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son
of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
Luke 24:6–7

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But
take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

The resurrection is not just the climax of Jesus’ earthly mission—it is the cornerstone of our faith and the
foundation of our victory. The empty tomb shouts louder than any defeat or discouragement we may
face. Jesus’ words were fulfilled just as He said—He was crucified, buried, and on the third day, He rose
in power. That same power is at work in us today.
Through His resurrection, Jesus conquered sin, death, and every scheme of the enemy. We are not trying
to win battles that have already been settled—we are called to stand in the finished work of Christ. Every
fear, trial, or delay must bow to the authority of our risen King.

As we begin this week of fasting and prayer, let us rejoice in the assurance that our prayers are rising
from a place of victory. We are not forsaken, not defeated, and not alone. Jesus lives, and because He
lives, victory is not just possible—it’s promised.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for the finished work of Calvary and the power of Your resurrection. Today, I take
my place in Your victory. Let every area of my life reflect the authority and peace that comes from Your
triumph. As I fast and seek Your face, renew my strength and fill me with resurrection power. Let every
burden be lifted, and let hope arise in me again.

Declaration

“I walk in the victory of the risen Christ. Death is defeated, fear is broken, and triumph is mine—today
and always.”
