The God Who Makes All Things New

He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for
these words are trustworthy and true.’ Revelation 21:5 (NIV)
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the
wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
Life often presents us with situations that feel stale, broken, or beyond redemption. But God, in His glory
and grace, declares that He is not done with us—He is the God who makes all things new. This is not just
a poetic promise; it’s a powerful reality. From the ashes of disappointment, He builds testimonies. From
the ruins of our past, He constructs paths of purpose and peace. He doesn’t simply fix the old; He
creates the new.
When God speaks of doing a new thing, it is often in the middle of barren seasons—when it seems least
likely. Isaiah spoke of God making rivers in the desert and roads in the wilderness, emphasizing that
divine renewal doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. It breaks through impossibilities and introduces a
fresh move of grace. Even when you can’t see it yet, trust that God is already working beneath the
surface, aligning your steps, refreshing your spirit, and breathing new life into your future.
Every ending in your life could be a setup for a beautiful beginning. Let go of what’s behind you and
prepare to embrace the new thing God is birthing—because in His time, all things are made beautiful.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank You for being the God who makes all things new. Today, I yield every broken place,
every dry wilderness, and every tired dream into Your hands. Open my eyes to perceive the new thing
You are doing in my life. May I not miss the streams of grace You are releasing even in desolate seasons.
Make me a vessel of Your renewal, and let Your glory be unveiled in me through every transformation. In
Jesus’ name, Amen.
