Spiritual Midwives

Spiritual Midwives

The Hebrew midwives feared God and defied Pharaoh’s order, preserving the lives of male Hebrew
children. Exodus 1:15–21

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.
Galatians 4:19

In every generation, God raises spiritual midwives—men and women entrusted with the sacred task of
helping others birth their God-ordained destinies. Just like the Hebrew midwives who preserved a
generation of deliverers under the threat of death, spiritual midwives today stand between life and
destruction, preserving what God is birthing in others.

A spiritual midwife doesn’t merely cheer from the sidelines—they pray, intercede, mentor, instruct, and
sometimes war in the spirit until Christ is fully formed in someone else. They are compelled by a holy
fear of God rather than the pressures of culture or authority. Their impact is often hidden, but heaven
rewards them openly.

The Apostle Paul understood this deeply. He labored not for material gain or recognition, but until
spiritual maturity—Christ in fullness—was birthed in those he served. This grace is not limited by gender
or title. If you feel drawn to intercede for others, to help them navigate spiritual transitions, or to protect
their calling from the enemy’s schemes, you may be walking in the anointing of a spiritual midwife.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the example of the Hebrew midwives and for the grace You have given us to
partner with You in birthing Your purpose on the earth. Lord, empower me to stand in the gap for
others—to nurture, protect, and intercede until Your will is accomplished in their lives. Grant me
discernment, courage, and endurance to serve as a faithful vessel in this divine work. May I never grow
weary in laboring for souls to mature and destinies to be born. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration

“By God’s grace, I am a spiritual midwife—called to intercede, nurture, and protect His purpose in
others until Christ is fully formed.”
