Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4
Rejoice always. 1 Thessalonians 5:16
Joy is more than a fleeting emotion; it is a choice, a command, and a response to God’s goodness.
Paul, writing from a prison cell, urges us to rejoice—not just in times of ease but in every season of
life. Rejoicing is an act of faith. It declares that our circumstances do not define our joy—God does.
We may face trials, but we can choose joy because we trust in God’s faithfulness, His sovereignty,
and His promises.
Rejoicing is a continuous action, not based on feelings or perfect conditions but on the unwavering
truth that God is with us. Even in challenges, we can rejoice because He is working all things
together for our good.
When we rejoice, we shift our focus from our struggles to our Savior. We magnify His goodness
instead of our problems. This perspective brings peace, strength, and renewed faith. Today, let us
choose to rejoice—not because everything is perfect, but because God is perfectly in control.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being the source of my joy. Help me to rejoice in You always, no matter what I face.
Remind me that my joy is not dependent on circumstances but on Your unchanging love and faithfulness.
Let my heart be filled with gratitude and praise today. I choose to rejoice in You, knowing that You are
always in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration
“I choose to rejoice today because my joy is rooted in God’s faithfulness, not in my circumstances.”
