Then the Lord answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.’ (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (Proverbs 29:18)
Vision is the ability to see beyond the present and walk in alignment with God’s purpose. Many times, life’s challenges, distractions, and disappointments can cloud our spiritual vision. We may find ourselves confused, stagnant, or uncertain about our next steps. But God’s desire is for us to recover His vision for our lives, ministries, and destinies.
Vision is meant to be written down, made plain, and pursued with patience. Even when fulfillment seems delayed, we must trust that it will surely come at the appointed time. Without vision, people lose direction and ultimately perish, highlighting the necessity of spiritual clarity in walking in God’s Plan. To recover God’s vision, we must return to Him in prayer, seek His will in His Word, and remove anything that hinders our spiritual sight. God is always ready to reveal the next step when we align our hearts with His purpose.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank You for being the giver of vision and purpose. Forgive me for the times I have lost focus or allowed distractions to cloud my sight. Today, I ask that You restore clarity to my spirit. Open my eyes to see Your plans for my life. Help me to write the vision, embrace it, and run with it in faith. Even when it seems delayed, I trust in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
