Raising Generations
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…
Deuteronomy 6:6–7
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Raising generations is not merely about parenting or mentoring—it is a divine calling to shape destinies
with purpose, love, and truth. God entrusts us with the responsibility to guide the hearts of those
coming after us, not only through instruction but through example. Whether you are a parent, a mentor,
a teacher, or a spiritual leader, you are part of God’s generational strategy.
Empowered by grace, we lead by modeling Christ-like character in everyday living. Children and younger
believers often learn more from what we do than from what we say. When the truths of God are
embedded in our hearts, they naturally flow into our homes, our conversations, and our routines. Our
influence becomes the seedbed for faith to flourish in the next generation.
In today’s world, where many voices compete for the hearts of the young, we must be intentional. It
takes grace to be consistent, to stay faithful in teaching, correcting, encouraging, and praying over those
we’re raising. But God’s grace is sufficient, and His Spirit empowers us to fulfill this assignment with
patience and joy.
Prayer
Gracious Father, thank You for the gift and responsibility of influencing the next generation. Whether as
parents, leaders, or mentors, help us to raise lives that honor You. Give us wisdom, grace, and strength
to teach, model, and live Your Word daily. May our homes and hearts reflect Your presence and truth. In
Jesus’ name, Amen.
