Joy Comes with Thanksgiving

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.
Psalm 100:4 (ESV)
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all
wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to
God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:16-17
Joy and thanksgiving are deeply connected in the life of a believer. When we choose to give thanks,
even in difficult situations, we unlock a deeper joy that is not dependent on circumstances but
rooted in God’s presence. Thanksgiving is the key that opens the gates to God’s presence. As we
come before Him with gratitude, our hearts are lifted, our burdens are lightened, and joy begins to
flow.
When we allow the message of Christ to dwell in us, we overflow with worship and thanksgiving. A
thankful heart shifts our focus from problems to God’s goodness. It turns complaints into praises,
fear into faith, and sorrow into joy.
Gratitude is a spiritual discipline that fuels joy. The more we practice thanksgiving, the more our
hearts are filled with God’s peace and joy. Even in trials, when we make a conscious decision to
thank God for His faithfulness, we begin to see His hand at work in ways we never expected.

love, and countless blessings in my life. Help me to cultivate a heart of gratitude, even in difficult times,
knowing that joy follows thanksgiving. Let my life reflect Your goodness, and may my words and actions
bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration
