God’s Joy is Unshakable

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my
fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my
refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Psalm 62:5-8

You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because
you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. Hebrews 10:34

There is a joy that isn’t tied to external blessings, favorable circumstances, or material wealth. It is
rooted in something far deeper—God Himself. This is the kind of joy that flows from a secure soul
anchored in God’s unchanging love and faithfulness. It’s not the product of a good day; it is the
result of confidence in God’s character.

Even when your world feels unstable, your emotions fluctuate, or your plans are delayed,
remember: God’s joy remains unshaken. It is our strength, our refuge, and our inheritance. Let your
soul find rest in Him. Let your confidence be rooted not in what may change, but in the One who
never does.

This joy cannot be stolen because it is not held in earthly possessions—it is found in your
relationship with God, in the assurance of His promises, and in the hope of eternal things. When
your heart is fixed on Christ, your joy becomes unshakable.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being my rock and refuge. I confess that I often tie my joy to people, places, and
outcomes. But today, I release all false sources of joy and choose to anchor my soul in You alone.
Strengthen my heart to trust in Your unshakable love. Even when things around me are shaking, help me
stand firm in the joy of Your presence. Teach me to rest in You and rejoice in what can never be taken
from me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
