God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
One of the greatest gifts of God’s grace is His power to restore righteousness. When sin entered the world, humanity was separated from God, clothed in shame and guilt. But through Jesus Christ, our righteousness is not only restored but also secured in Him. He took upon Himself our sins so that we could stand before God blameless and holy.
Many believers struggle with guilt from past mistakes, feeling unworthy of God’s presence.
However, today’s scriptures remind us that righteousness is not based on our deeds but on Christ’s finished work. When we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive and cleanse us. He does not hold our past against us but restores us to right standing with Him.
True restoration is not just about forgiveness—it is also about transformation. As we walk in God’s righteousness, our thoughts, words, and actions begin to align with His will. We are empowered to live in victory over sin and to shine as reflections of Christ in this world.
Prayer

Help me to walk daily in the righteousness You have given me, free from guilt and shame. Let my life reflect Your holiness and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
