Anointed for Influence

One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia… The Lord opened her heart
to respond to Paul’s message… she and the members of her household were baptized. Acts 16:14–15

You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and
glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14–16

You are not just saved by grace—you are anointed by grace to influence others for God’s kingdom. Lydia,
a businesswoman and worshipper of God, encountered the gospel through Paul’s preaching. God
opened her heart, and she responded with faith, hospitality, and action. Her influence began to ripple
beyond herself to her household and her community.
Jesus calls us the light of the world—not to be hidden but to shine with purpose.

You carry the divineinfluence of God wherever you go: your workplace, your home, your community. Influence is not always loud; sometimes, it is the quiet strength of your integrity, the boldness of your faith, the kindness of your
service, or the wisdom of your counsel.

You have been anointed to make a difference—not by status, but by spiritual significance. Just like Lydia,
allow your heart to stay open and your life yielded to the Spirit. Through grace, you become a vessel of
transformation.

Prayer

Gracious Father, thank You for the anointing of grace upon my life. I yield myself as a vessel for Your
influence. Open my heart daily to Your Word and help me to live purposefully. Use my gifts, my voice, my
hands, and my presence to touch lives, just as You used Lydia. Empower me to shine with the light of
Christ in every environment You place me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
