Breaking the Drought

After a long time, in the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah: ‘Go and present yourself to Ahab,
and I will send rain on the land.’ 1 Kings 18:1 (NIV)
Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will
appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.
Hosea 6:3 (NIV)
Drought seasons—whether spiritual, emotional, or financial—can feel overwhelming and exhausting.
Yet, such seasons often prepare the ground for divine intervention. Just as God once declared the end of
a long drought over a dry land, He still speaks restoration into our dry places today. His word signals a
turning point, not just for circumstances but for the condition of our hearts.
When we intentionally seek God, realign with His will, and act in faith, we create space for His rain to fall
again. Like Elijah, we may not see clouds right away, but faith declares the rain before it arrives.
Obedience and trust open the door to breakthroughs, even when outward signs are still hidden.
If things feel dry and unfruitful, don’t give up. Drought is not denial—it often comes before the
downpour. Remain in a posture of prayer and expectation. The God who sends the rain is faithful to
break the drought and refresh every dry place in your life.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank You for being the One who restores dry and barren places. I surrender every drought
in my life to You. Let Your rain fall upon my spirit, my family, and my circumstances. Refresh my soul and
revive my faith. I trust that this season of dryness is ending, and new life is beginning. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Declaration
